The structure takes it’s name from the locality “Lupo Cerrino” that goes back to a noble man of the XV century,one Mario Cerrino of Corneto(present day Tarquinia).The name of the locality has given rise to various interpretations,the most generally accepted as plausible,would appear to be the marriage between a certain Serlupi and a grand niece of Cerrino.
